Yes I think ALMS is gaining an upper hand, they should demand when its on OTA that it should be in HD and nothing less number 1. Number 2; they should demand full 2:45 sprint events (no nonsense about 1000km races PLEASE!) and if you can't do better than Krammer and Adam, (fans are complaining) why reinvent the wheel and go with your Radio Lemans broadcasters and just pay them a bit more, Hindy is already in town anyway, what difference does it make??? Pay him extra, put a ABC/NBC/CBS jacket on him and run with it. FOX used ONE team for all its broadcast, why can't we combine forces with Hindy's company and make this work the best? We already enjoy Hindy behind the mike and the excitement he shows for the series. While Bill Adam and such are Sportscar fans, Adam has always been a bit painful to listen too/watch. Put him in a fire suit and down in the pits... We should demand this as FANS, if the ALMS is for the FANS, they will LISTEN.... |

Poor Audi. When they don't take the overall they've lost, and here where they have taken the overall everyone's talking about Acura's win.

Brabs drove a blinder of a stint, but to be frank the #7 did not seem quite up to scratch as Dumas pointed out. I would expect him to have held on in a healthy car. Still, luck has been on Penske's side enough that it was good to see it fall Highcroft's way.
On the other hand, Audi put in a commanding performance. They did have the car where it counted; from about the 1/3 point on the front straight the Porsches were strong, but the Audi midrange torque made them look like they were standing still. All 4 drivers showed good patience, biding their time and using traffic to get the perfect run. I think Audi really deserved this one hands down. An underdog win for sure. |
