Racing Car Show 1967
Was anyone at this show ?
Did anyone have any pictures or film of the Fletcher Ogle GT. The car was on stand number 3 and was shared with Astrali steering wheels. I know these are long shot questions but Im trying to rebuild this car and would love to see pictures. Thanks Paul |

Please keep us posted. This seems, shall we say, a somewhat obscure subject. But I'm sure all us fellow travellers would love to know how you get on.
I'm sure nobody can picture a "Fletcher Ogle GT" so please post some pictires. |

Ogle Scattergun
Hi Paul,
I see you have adopted the scattergun approach to your research on the Ogle. Several posts in different areas. All this tends to do IMHO is to dillute the responses you might get. You need to make friends with your local Mini Car Club. There are lots of books and videos relating to the Mini and its variants around. MINI A celebration of the Worlds Ultimate Small Car Graham Scott Reed International Books Ltd "Industrial designer David Ogle created the elegant Ogle SX1000" (has a nice colour photo). "Saloon car racer John Whitmore bought one and made some publicity for the company, but even so Ogle only sold about 70 models before he was killed in a road accident in one of his own machines" MINI James Rupert Crowood Auto Classic Series "Industrial designer David Ogle had underground trains and helicopters to his credit when he turned his attention to building and marketing a small sports car" "The Fletcher GT, with its ugly new nose, was equally unprofitable. Just four were sold" |

http://www.minimarcos.org.uk/altpics/ogle/fletch.html the Fletcher Ogle was certainly distinctive - but not as distinctive as this....... http://www.minimarcos.org.uk/altpics/stimson/scor.html Last edited by cirrus; 27 Sep 2003 at 08:05. |

I have a memory of John Ogier visiting a neighbour's wife with a new one of these, or something very like it, I was a teenager at the time and had a "Mrs Robinson" problem with the lady...
Did John Ogier have something to do with Ogle? |
