we will see what the final announcement brings, but i'm pretty sure that there are provisions in the agreement to allow Maserati in that include competition penalties to slow the car down if needed. Corvette is looking forward to the challenge, that much is sure... there is nothing to help the development of a new car (in this case the C6.R) like racing against a very fast car. remember the C5-R became as fast as it was by racing against the Oreca Viper GTS-Rs and then the Prodrive Ferrari 550s...

a few days ago was announced a reorganization amid Fiat Auto Group. Maserati is no longer in the same under group with Ferrari but now associated with Alfa Romeo in a called 'sport group'. It is why the news concerning Maserati involvemens are delayed ?
