Looks like Gene's Peugeot wreckage after his airborne crash at the test day couple of years ago (2010?).

Suppose this happened just before marshals post 120b on drivers left, crash must have been a bit before that...

I wonder if they can repair that car in time for ther race ... looks like a write-off from here. Hope Loic Duval is okay.

Audi obviously has spare tubs. Most important thing is that Loic isn't seriously injured or worse here. Not much news on if he's OK or what medical attention he's receiving as of yet.

First off I hope Duval is okay. Now to your point, does Audi have another tub ready and if Duval is out for the rest of the weekend who would take his place?

Looks like Duval is fine. I saw his helmet moving inside the Ambulance. And the Amubulance is driving pretty slowly for it to be anything serious.

Is there a rule about those anyway?

I know there is for amount of engines, but for sure this counts as "force majeure".

If that's the case, that's great news. But if a mechanical failure caused the accident and there's worry that it wasn't fluke deal, Audi might have to withdraw their cars out of safety concerns.

The race engine is typically only put in the car before Thursday.

Audi has had a bunch of weird offs this year, just remember Silverstone.

The car seems to be tricky to drive...not what you want at Le Mans.

I don't think so, however that didn't stop Mercedes in 1999 after Webber flip.

In 2012 fisichella destroyed his #51 458 during FP, AF Corse spent the next 24 hours to assemblate a new 458 GTE on a maranello "emergency" delivered new chassis, taking part to the last turn of qualifying the day after. So if audi has a spare chassis, their only enemy is time.
EDIT: last year happened the same with the tracy khron car.

Ok I've had a look at the Eurosport feed and when the marshals got there they did appear to communicate with him. Not going to speculate on injuries but I hope its just bruises etc.
