I wouldn’t say no fans, people who buy these tickets can also be fans, but will be very limited amount of fans.

Its limited to 2,000 fans. Its actually quite a good offer for the fans to get close to the cars for a reasonable price.
F1 has had talks of doing the same thing: run a F1 race at Paul Ricard... |

Mosport didn't have grandstands for the longest time and it did fine (although they do have some temporary ones set up I believe now)

Tracks like Brno and Bathurst don't need grandstands, Mosport also looks to have quite big elevation changes. Paul Ricard on the other hand is of course ¤&&#ing lame.

I believe the lame part comes from the fact that Toyota have hacked up the track and made it into a test track with no potential for fan support. It was once great - but how can it be great if you cannot go along as an average joe and enjoy the sport.
It may provide a good race, I don't know, but since only 2000 people can go - it all seems a bit lame. |

I don't think Toyota has anything to do with Paul Ricard. It is owned by Bernie Ecclestone.

I thought Toyota got it first as a test facility in 2000. Toyota or Bernie, it still is a poor place to hold an event - due to the lack of spectator facilities

So Paul RIcard is an event for teams and sponsors because they had much space in the paddock area but no sanitary facilities around the track. In the past Paul Ricard never has a great number of grandstand. |
