Do you really think they would cancel such a big event from rain? Its not a cyclone.
From what i heard in some places its not far off being a cyclone!

Yer it was great to finally see rain like that again. They said on the news brisbane has not had this kind of rain since 2004.

An odd thing for your friends to joke about.

I am not sure on what grounds one would cancel the event anyway, there are no drainage issues at the track.

The lack of a record crowd attendance due to inclement weather?

Surely Vesa would have worked out the crowd figure last Tuesday, depending on which barrow they have decided to push this time

Well it is tempting to stay inside and watch the racing on BigPond/#7 rather than brave the weather... which might be tempting to quite a few people... perhaps they will have a teev ratings bonanza instead?

What will Aussie bernie & his cashorts at VE$A blame for the poor crowd showing, will it be the weather or the Sydney Circut. I reckon both will blame the EC Track.
But the real people know that it is the weather to blame.

To the people going to the Creek take every thing you can to keep dry you are going to need it.
Will make for an interesting weekends racing with all this liquid sunshine.

well i live 10-15 from the track it was bloody heavy abit lighter now but still rainning pretty constant but as rotar said it's predicted to ease over the comming days.

great to see rain like this (hate the winds don't need them) good to see it's not just coastaa and it's going where we need it, although it could be a little lighter and continue for longer.

Yer but still if you think about the only major rain race that has hit Queensland Raceway besides 2002 which was this a shower. That would have to be 2001 where about 10laps left to the race end, a tropical thunderstorm hit the track. That was a classic

I am going to the bigpond 400 and i would not mind a wet race there finally some action there lol.

well the weather is extraordinary up that way , major flooding everwhere even ships at sea is distress.

2 people have lost their lives in this weather and a family of 5 is missing , my deepest sympathies to those involved in those tragedies.

but considering the weather is it possible that the event might even be cancelled.
I dont exactly know what the weather is like at the creek but surely they have recieved an amazing amount of rain as well ?

anyone have any up to date info on whats happening at the track ?

P1 will be very interesting, as I said before CL should be one of the quickest, but who will join him. JC & Skaifey ( despit his Winton offtrack adventures ) should be there. So whoelse do think will be there at the top in the wet.

this is horrible weather woke up this morning and it's pretty heavy, and bloody windy last night, sad about the people losing their lives due to flooding and the ship at Newcastle hopfully it spills nothing, as GTR should make practise pretty interesting.

read in M eNews that the Tasman boys swaped cars for the round but they couldn't confirm, well it has been a few days and scrutineering has past so can anyone confirm this please?
