Bluebottle and Hurricane and I are awaiting the Viceroy's input before we decide what we are doing. I want to go up on the Friday and see all the warmups and walk in the pitlane and oogle the pilots! We're staying in a motel. It's too early in the season to camp and anyway Aly shouldn't camp in her condition. After the ALMS race I have no idea what we're doing. We may go Karting on Monday as we want to go to church before heading to Donington anyway. My plane goes back at 9:00 p.m. Monday evening so I will have time to hurtle about the countryside as needed.

Teamworks are doing some refitting and they said they'd let me know when we could come in and do our runs - apparently some crybabies have complained about how noisy their vehicles are ... anyway, I'll let you know as soon as they let ME know what the skinny is.

Crybabies underneath Teamworks?! Surely not. Do those people remember that (as Simon at Teamworks said to me) BAR carried out their launch party in that very building?! Some people...

Anyway, back to the Easter weekend...

What I want to know is, where are we off to AFTER the ELMS race? (Tim says he doesn't care to attend the BTCC race, but otherwise nobody seems willing to suggest anything.) [Assuming I don't get to go home with one of the Panoz boys, I'm open to suggestions. ]

If it's of use to anyone this week's Autosport is running a 2 for 1 deal on the ALMS meeting. It's hidden on the ad on page 76. Just show the mag when you buy one adult ticket and a second person gets in for free. I'm sure there must be enough of us going to sort ourselves into pairs.

I'm sponsoring a guy on the Sheffield Tigers speedway team and Andy has kindly invited me to come up and swan round the pits and meet the boys and all, and see them race at home on Good Friday eve. Anybody who can drive want to go? I'd like to see what it's all about and I'd love to meet Andy!

I have a copy Lorna, you can come in with me! Just make sure you remind me not to throw it away!!

I could be interested in the speedway, Liz... Sheffield's not a million miles away from Donny... I'd have to book a room at the Travel Lodge though, i'd guess...?

I haven't heard about what is being planned by Bluebottle & Co. yet ... Andy says the race starts at 7 and we'd have to leave Donington by 4, does that make sense? It is such a nuisance not being able to drive. I hope you will be able to go, Craig; I have the feeling it would be quite exciting and Andy says we can all go down the pub later on to celebrate. Robbie Kessler, the guy I sponsor, is winning all his races and I'm very proud of him!

Can anyone who's going to be at Donington bring me a Minardi cap? I'll pay you when we get there.

Okay, Liz, the way I understand it is:

Your plane arrives a bit late on Good Friday to make it to church on time, so this means we charge up to Donington as soon as you've had a chance to drop off luggage and such.

Donington qualifying should occupy us nicely for Friday afternoon.

Did you say you'd got Travelodge places booked for Friday?

Sheffield speedway seems a bit of a way to go, especially with Aly in her present condition (!).

Saturday dedicated to ALMS (Yipppeeee!!!)

Saturday night head back to London.

Sunday could be Powertour at Snetterton, or Bluebottle suggests this could be the opportunity for karting if Teamworks have their act together for you. I hear little noises to the effect that Danielsun may be up for this - don't you?

Monday we have the option of Brands for the BTCC or Thruxton for the CSCC. I'll probably be doing the latter. Both tracks should (should) leave you ample time to get to Heathrow for the Monday night flight home.

Phew!

This organising lark is thirsty work - where did I just put that whisky?

Ah - there it is.

Ahhhhhhhhh! That's better!

Ooh, hello your excellency!

Yes, i've got the room booked at Donington, checked it the other day and all set for Friday night. Is Thruxton the vintage race you were talking about? I wouldn't mind seeing that one and getting some pictures for Dad. I have 6 rolls of film - three rolls of fast and three of medium. That should be enough I hope.

If we get to Donington in time, Andy says either he or a mate of his will pick me up for Sheffield. I've got his cell phone number and all. But we don't want to risk accidents and miss things rushing about, so we'll see how we go.

I ordered my tickets on line and I hope they come before I leave. Surely they'll have that much sense.
