BDG Mid-range stumble

I finally got out on the track today and I have a stumble between 4500 and 6000 RPM's then the car pulls like mad. Coming out of the pits the car also stumbles at low RPM's in first gear. I am thinking its a fuel issue but wonder if anyone has advice or experience with this motor and situation??? I should add the Cosworth BGD has Lucas fuel injection..
