Engine Mix

watup peeps,

I hope ur all doing well. I was wondering, can u guys please teach me how to adjust the engine mix. Whenever i'm behind someone, i often see them twisting that knob on the engine. Apparently it gives you more power. As usual thank you in advance. Also, during my previous race, everyone had a significant advantage on the straights. So i'm guessing having knowledge of adjusting ur own mix would be helpful for me...

P.S I'm racing 100cc's currently. It uses a yamaha engine. The series i'm racing in, is similar to the club 100 series you people in the UK have...

I'm guessing your running a Yamaha KT100 engine? When they alter the "knob" which is the jets on the carburetor they are making the engine mixture leaner at high revs. Go too far and you will seize the engine though.

I've never run a Yamaha engine but if you go to www.karting.co.uk and post in the forum or www.ekartingnews.com someone will be able to help you with some base settings for the engine.
