ford boy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Summary of penalties, RD 7, Oran Park.

Looks as if Garth Tander came away unscathed from contact with Russell Ingall! And a few other drivers were lucky as well i think!

Matters arising from the Practice Session:

There were no matters arising from the Practice Session.

SATURDAY 12 AUGUST, 2006

Matters arising from the Qualifying Session:

Car #26, Jose Fernandez, failed to stop at the weighing scales. The Stewards imposed a penalty of a loss of qualifying times.

Matter arising from the Top Ten Shootout:

There were no matters arising from the Top Ten Shootout.

Matters arising from Race 1:

The following car/driver received a drive-through penalty as determined by the Stewards:
* Car #18, Will Davison (for overlapping on the restart after a safety car period)

SUNDAY 13 AUGUST, 2006

Matters arising from Race 2:

The following cars/drivers received a drive-through penalty as determined by the Stewards:
* Car #18, Will Davison (false start)
* Car #26, Jose Fernandez (false start)
* Car #14, Brad Jones (false start)
* Car #12, John Bowe (false start)

Following an investigation by the IPO and an admission by the competitor, the Stewards found that car #6, Jason Bright, was in breach of the rules, careless driving. The Stewards imposed a time penalty of 27 seconds (equivalent to a drive-through penalty).

Matters arising from Race 3:

The following cars/drivers received a drive-through penalty as determined by the Stewards:
* Car #2, Mark Skaife (leaving pit lane incorrectly)
* Car #1, Russell Ingall (driving infringement on car #25, Warren Luff)

Following an investigation by the IPO and an admission by the competitor, the Stewards found that car #16, Garth Tander, was found to be in breach of the rules, use of reverse gear in pit lane. The Stewards imposed a penalty of a fine of $2,000.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
how intriguing

guess it will be lowndes getting the short end of the stick in the enxt few rounds

The judges have determined that it will be a holden year. every penalty gets a drive through except one

Very fascinating... I can see a lot of Ford drivers can't tell a red light from a green light...

I saw the BJR cars off the start - they weren't moving when the lights went, they just flinched and stopped.

I guess that "rule" letting you off if the car isnt moving and you haven't gained out of it isn't there anymore. The way they adjudicate the false starts is clearly a farce anyway when you look at Rick's start at Clipsal as just one example. Lots of people have got bitten by it, fords or not.

Very reasonable result for BJ on the weekend considering
