Hans.ca should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I need your help. Santa left me a model of a Porsche 550A Spyder number 48 that raced in the 1000 km Buenos Aires race. I would like to know who was driving the car and how they finished.
Thanks in advance for any info.

Ask and ye shall receive!

It's the 3rd placed car of Stirling Moss and Jean Behra. They came home behind a pair of Ferrari 250 TestaRossas (Collins/P.Hill and von Trips/Gendebien/Musso).

Haven't been able to turn up a photo reference of it yet, but if I can, I shall.

What's the scale of the miniature? If it's 43rd, I'm guessing you've got the model made by Pit? Great little replicas, but notorious for not saying who/when/where!

Thank you

Thank you TimD for the information. The model is special edition 1:18 made by Maisto. It is die cast metal with plastic parts, made in Thailand. have never heard of this manufacturer before.
I beliefe that Gendebien drove one of these cars at Mosport one time. And I had a cover on the Canadian Driver Mag. with the caption of Spyder in town. The car was owned by Jim Musson and the photo was taken on Bay street with the old City Hall in the background.
Thanks again for the info, I know Sir Sterling quit well and with any luck my wife and I will go to Goodwood for the revival either 2001 or 2002.
