BTRDA Rallycross R5 Croft November 16th

The 2014 Autosport International BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross Championship Round 5 comes to the Croft Circuit on Sunday November 16th. For all the latest event news and entry lists etc check out;

http://clubmansrallycross.weebly.com...mber-16th.html

This event should see a very good 60+car entry

It should see the "biggest" Super Modified class entry and Production car entry of the rallycross season in UK.

Plus a good grid of Supercars will be in action.

Stupid question - how many of the cars here will be the same as were at the Rallycross event this past weekend?

Around 15 cars will be the same as you saw last weekend at Croft

The other 45 or so are cars who have competed in the 2014 BTRDA Championship, lots of new SuperModified, Production and Supercar NOT seen at Croft so far this year.

This entry should see a total entry between 60-70 cars with the biggest line up of Super Mods and Production cars seen in Uk this year plus top flight Supercars.

Definately NOT an event to miss!

I'm going to be there all being well. Couldn't make the GP weekend for the third year on the trot so looking forward to this one. It was a good event last year with some great racing.

Yep, I had a white T-shirt on under my hoodie, and it was grotty.

I wasn't there: the Livestream coverage was giving a pretty good indication of how windy it was though!

Apologies for the slow response. The RallycrossGP Livestream can be found on Livestream.com:

http://new.livestream.com/accounts/1...events/3487744

It was a bit intermittent due to the weather, but still lots of racing to watch.

Just seen that Kevin Procter will be running at Croft in the Supercars...

http://www.thecheckeredflag.co.uk/20...nlovc.facebook

...not exactly a "Clubman" Supercar, but will be great to see the Fiesta in action again.

That's pretty much at the polar opposite end of the scale isn't it? Still, as you say it's good to see it out and good to see plenty of support for the BTRDA event.

I think he's probably entered purely to get extra testing time for the car. If its working then he'll win by a large margin. Could do with a few more super cars entering, as with the usual breakdowns the grid will be a bit sparse.

Modified and production are bulging with entries, which is great to see. Particularly when you consider there are a few noticeable absentees.

“Motorsport comes to Darlington Town Centre as Rallycross Cars take centre stage”

“Motorsport comes to Darlington Town Centre as Rallycross Cars take centre stage”

With the very recent announcements that Motorsport would come to the City of Coventry in 2015, the North East town of Darlington is the next place to attract top class Motorsport.

North East shoppers will get the chance to get up close and personal to some of the UK’s “fastest” racing cars as top class Rallycross cars come to Darlington Town Centre this Saturday 8th November from 12noon until 4pm at High Row.

The BTRDA Rallycross Championship which has the 5th round of their Championship at the Croft Circuit on Sunday November 16th will have a static display of some of the cars that will be in action.

A top line up of cars will be on display including;
· Barnard Castle Hotelier Mad Mark Watson 550bhp Citroen Xzara
· Newcastle bed and breakfast owner Brian Jukes Audi TT TDi
· Northallerton garage owner Guy Corner Supercharged Peugeot 206

The display will also see event organisers the Darlington and District Motor Club in attendance who will have information about the meeting. The drivers will be on hand to talk about the sport they love “Rallycross”, talk about their cars, doing interviews for the press and TV, signing autographs, Ticket Competitions as well as promoting the Rallycross event at Croft on November 16th.

With a couple of days to go until entries close for the event it has received a bumper entry of around 60 cars. The action starts at 9.30am on Saturday 16th November and will feature over 40 action packed races, “this is one event not to be missed”

Advance tickets can be purchased from the Croft Circuit website for £8 until 11th November. Adult admission to Croft Circuit, just off the A168 five miles south of Darlington, on Sunday 16th November costs just £10 for adults with accompanied children under 15 free with parking free.

For further information please visit www.croftcircuit.co.uk as well as www.clubmansrallycross.weebly.com

Absolutely. It would be great to see him get the Fiesta sorted and ready for a full Championship next year.

I see Andy Grant has joined the entry list as well, so hopefully there will be enough Supercars out there to generate a bit of racing.

The Super Modified and Stock Hatch entries both look excellent. Really interested to see how Jack Thorne does in the Super Modified, I was seriously impressed by his pace at Lydden in August.

Well I don't want to speak too soon, but at present the Met Office are showing cloud and some scattered showers for Sunday: fingers crossed it stays that way!

I was hoping it would be like the last couple of Sundays when its been lovely weather, typical. Having said that it could be worse, I've stood in the rain at Croft before with no racing for 2 hours because the track has been too water logged, deep joy! I'm really hoping for dry weather as I'll have my 4 year old with me and at least one of my nephews. Wet cold weather and children isn't a good mix! I see another Supercar has sneaked on the entry as well.

Ah, so it has! I wonder who that is?

I got utterly drowned at the Tempest Rally last weekend, so anything better than torrential rain is a win for me! Fingers crossed the sun comes out though.

I wonder if that would be Mr McCann then??
I think the only other likely suspect would possibly be Colin Anson?

These are the only other 2 I can think off, as most of the other supercars at the last croft meeting are either not "Clubmans" or were badly broken at the end of the day.

Unless one of our Irish friends is having a trip over, but again I've not heard anything on that front either.

I guess we shall soon see!
