Yep, a great nostalgic shot, tinged with sadness. Thanks for sharing.

Wonder if those yokkies would come back?
What other yet undiscovered cars wait to be uncovered.

OOOh, a "Barn Find"!. Imagine your amazement if you wandered into your barn one day, lifted maybe a bale of hay, or moved a long-stored sack of potatoes, only to find a car there........"Goodness me, where did that come from!"

Did GT6 ever have the 2500 engine?....obviously its an easy mod, but?

No, only 2 litre. Yes, easy swap.....

The engine started out in the Vitesse @ 1600cc, so unless the 2500 block is different that was a big increase!

Barn Finds, OR
Take one perfectly preserved for 32 years in period genuine as raced E-type, and destroy it by modifying to comply with F.I.A ideas on how they raced in period.

Great stuff Smudge . I had a lot of phone calls after your advert and also Marcus Pye is very interested in the project . I am sure you will get the car better prepared than we did back in its day . Keep us all informed how it's going . Well done

Looks great. I started with a GT6 and was always wanted one like the Windmill Plastics modsports car - looked just like Iains. Think Jigsaw have it now. Sold mine and it was running in CSCC Swinging 60s until a year or so ago. Mate Jon W still has a racing GT6 in the garage which was last out at Angouleme last September.

Modsports one would be great in the CSCC series.
