Terry Drury

I learned today that Terry Drury passed away last night.
Many people will have known, or known of Terry, it is a cliché, but he was certainly one of British motorsports characters.
I only got to know him slightly in the late 1980's, but learned later of some of his earlier exploits. Saloon/Touring car builder/racer, GT40 racer and of course creator of the original (and amazing) Ford Transit Supervan that amongst others, Chris Craft would wow the crowds with his demonstration runs.
I don't know Terry's family or his many, many friends, but I bet everyone who knew or even briefly met him will have a TD story, and when they tell it will have a smile on their face!
Thanks for the memories Terry, Rest In Peace.

I know about him and the team from watching the 80s BTCC races, either through reviews or just online. I did like the Alfas and the Sierras

USRallycross should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sad news.

He lived in deepest Essex and IIRC was the man behind Richard Hutton's Escort Cosworth engines - among many others of course.
