2018 F1 team mate battles
You know what they say.. to win, first you have to win against your team mate.
So who is going to beat the guy in the garage next door in 2018?

My choices...
Lewis Hamilton. Bottas will never be able to take it to Hamilton. As much as he likes to think he can.
Sebastian Vettel. Ferrari's number one driver so it's a given.
Max Verstappen. Red Bull have openly stated they are backing Verstappen for the title.
Sergio Perez. Ocon is the better driver IMO, but I think Perez's experience will see him finish in front. Just.
Lance Stroll. Think he might surprise us. Lance FTW!
Carlos Sainz Jnr. Sainz is a better driver and a better racer IMO than Hulkberger. It'll be close though.
Brendon Hartley. Another close finish, but Hartley should have it over his team mate.
Romain Grosjean. Frenchie should have it over Dutchie. Another close battle though.
Fernando Alonso. McLaren will do whatever to keep him happy. Even if it means asking Vandoorne to move over.
Charles Leclerc. Simply because I don't think Ericsson should even be on the grid. Hope Leclerc annihilates him!

Frenchie and Dutchie? One is Swiss and the other Danish.
Think Leclerc might struggle with Ericsson more than many think.

I know. It's just that 'Frenchie and Dutchie' was used by an F1 commentator last year and I was just having a swipe. Plus it rhymes better!
As far as Frenchie, he is not the only F1 driver to claim nationality of a country he was not born in now is it?

Agreed, Marcus is very rapid on his day, just guilty of being rather inconsistent, i think Charles will probably edge him over the course of the season but i can't see him wiping the floor with Ericsson though.

I would actually like to see Max go go go and somehow keep F1 "alive and kicking". It needs one man to take it to Merc and beat them to keep this sport in the news for the right reasons this year..

Yep, I'm firmly in the 'Go Max!' camp this season too. Boy do we need it.

Most excellent, a thread where we can passive-aggressively push our agendas on drivers we don't like!
Lewis Hamilton. Everyone else sucks. No one is as good as the GOAT! Why bother turning up?
Sebastian Vettel. Ferrari do team orders so nobody will be allowed to race the chosen German in the team. Kimi may as well not turn up.
Max Verstappen. Red Bull want the youngest WDC, Danny Ricc may as well not show up.
Sergio Perez. Perez will win because Toto Wolff doesn't want to promote somebody that will challenge Lewis again, we all know how that turned out last time. Ocon should just stay at home.
Lance Stroll. Both suck and Kubica should have gotten the drive. Stroll because he's had an extra year in F1, but neither should really bother showing up.
Nico Hulkenberg Hulk will win this because Christian Horner and co don't want to have to have another driver at RBR that will challenge Max once Danny Ricc leaves, Sainz may as well stay home for a year.
Pierre Gasly Gasly will win so Christian Horner and co can choose the weaker Hartley for the RBR drive in 2019. He may as well not even bother.
Kevin Magnussen Both drivers are underwhelming but at least Kev doesn't complain about everything. Save yourself the effort and stay at home Romain.
Fernando Alonso Fernando is overrated but McLaren don't want everyone to see that and will let him beat Stoffel, who should just save his effort.
Charles Leclerc Because why should Ericsson hold his own and end the career of a third promising young driver in as many years? Don't even bother.
In all seriousness though, Hamilton, Vettel, Ricciardo, Ocon, Stroll, Hulk, Gasly, Grosjean, Alonso, Leclerc

All my votes went for those who are currently ahead in the poll. Quote what this says about my knowledge and the forums knowledge I do not know.
