Cosworth BDG Kugelfischer Injection

We are considering installing a 7.5mm Kugelfischer/Bosch injection pump on a Cosworth BDG. We've seen this type pump/metering unit installed at the back end of the intake cam once before and felt this might be best for our 1970's sports racer application. Can anyone suggest expert resources who might have experience with this type of installation? Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed.

Have you spoken to any of the BDG engine builders? Am sure people like Richardson and Gathercole will be familair with driving off the back end of the engine, as their engines often appear in sports racers and single seaters.

I have no experience of either companies work, BTW, and there are several others involved in BD engines. Mass, Wilcox and Sherwood immediately spring to mind...... Apologies to anyone have missed!

I've no idea as do not know what car it is for! Ask apexster....

Kugelfischer mechanical injection was used on 2002tii and 911, so early 70s at least if not earlier. Zakspeed used it on 1975 Escort that won the ETCC.

A genuine Cosworth BDG has a Lucas metering unit mounted on top of the cam cover, and driven of the front of the inlet cam. To the best of my knowledge, Cosworth never produced an engine with Kugelfischer injection.

Hart 420R had the Lucas metering unit installed below the injection trumpets, and driven off the rear of the inlet cam.

Just my usual sense of humour Mike, but has got me thinking a bit seem to remember Tecalamit-Jackson system being about, and fitted to some BDA's definitely fitted at one stage to Shaw's Delltune E-type, 1968? Another hour or two spent rumageing the 'Records'..........
