Do you think they use the AA or the RAC?

According to BBC Sport, the car is expected to make its race debut next month, although McLaren will not say at which race that might be.
McLaren chief executive officer Martin Whitmarsh said the team had not decided when it would race. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/3766235.stm |

It looks a bit nicer than before I think - not so weedy and fragile. A bit more Dannii than Kylie.

Maybe it's an illusion, but it looks to me like Kimi is sitting lower in the car as well.

Thats a nasty looking finish to the end of the exhaust pipe, It looks almost like it was a last minute add on. Also the pipe that is visible does not look like Inconel.

From the pics that Led ZeppF1 posted, you can clearly see the heat shielding on the front leg of the upper A-arm and on the pushrod...

Mclaren should just use the new car from the next race onwards..
Risky? You think Mclaren have anything left to risk now? The old car can't even finish half a race, and i doubt the new car can do worse than that. I personally think letting at least one driver use the new car to test the car and get used to working and setting up the new car would actually help speed up the program a little. I thought the same thing GT R. What do they have to lose? They are already well back in 6th spot in the constructors race (5 points adrift of Sauber). Kimi and David are so far behind that they'd do anything just to have a shot at a victory this year. They've already tossed any aspirations of their standings in the driver's race seeing as they can't challenge for number one. Why not give one of the boys the "B" spec car and run it, or give it to them both. As mentioned, many of the parts are the same, the engine is the same, what is there to test? Just go for it.

Original plan was to give it a debut at Hockenheim.
That may be brought forward to Magny Cours. It can't be run at Canada and America because there won't be enough parts ready in time. |

Damn....missed the unveiling!
I think the car looks better than before.....it looks faster.(you know those feelings you get just by looking at still pics) Nice and meaty and the times are fairly impressive too. Why not race it from the next round Ron? |

the reason why it will be raced in france and not for the next two races is because they can test the car in europe over the next month which would be impossible if it were in the states

Yeah, at least the MP4/17 could finish races. Since neither the MP4/18 nor 19 can, the 19B must at least have that 'skill'.
Anyway, what's Whitmarsh got to do with the car? - I thought he was supposed to be running the Ilmor factory now...shouldn't he be more worried about getting an engine ready. |

Yer i was never good with names... haha
I must also point out that the manifold runners must be extremely short judging by where the exhausts exit! And it was Malcolm oops... MARTIN that took responsibility for the MP4-18 btw. http://f1total.com/bilder/2004/tests/sil03/z029.jpg |

McLaren's CEO Martin Whitmarsh admits the MP4-19B is likely to race when F1 returns to Europe.
“We haven't made a decision in terms of race introduction, and it's certainly not our intention to have it for Canada and the USA,” said Whitmarsh. “But France is realistic assuming that the benefits warrant the risks of pushing a car that early into the race programme. http://www.autosport.com/newsitem.asp?s=5&id=27743 |

It looks like Satan's little bro.
*Crosses fingers and everything else conceivable...* I doubt it will just win a race like that, but it could be the base to re-gain a position (by plowing BAR and Renault out of the way) to take the top off Ferrari, a long way to go tho..... |
