Geez, a dozen poms, what have we done to deserve this?

Seriously all will have a great time and as long as you are ok with sunshine, sticks that move and sometimes bite(commonly known as Joe Blakes(snakes)) and Skippies(Kangaroos) bigger than you that have the unfortunate ability to cause major damage to cars.
I kid you not the driver briefing notes include warnings about snakes and roos!

Please pm me as I have some information that may make your visit a little more interesting.

I can assure you as somebody who has never missed officiating at any 6,12 or 24 hour race at The Mount that you will have a magnificient time and us locals will make sure that you blokes go home a bit more Aussie than what you were when you arrived... and NO we don't drink Foster's-that's an absolute crime here,we send it to you poor buggers!

Disappointing? Mostert put 20-odd seconds on the field in the opening stint.

The BMW's all showed impressive speed in both qualifying and the race - reliability was obviously an issue at Bathurst and during the AGT Endurance series.

Because of Am teammates who crashed the car almost as soon as Chaz was out of it.

If the Am drivers crashed it, how does that make the car disappointing?

That would have made the XD Falcon disappointing at Bathurst in 1980 even though Johnson had 40secs on the field, or the Ford Sierra disappointing at Bathurst in 1987?

The BMWs were great last year, things that just happen in racing meant they didn't have a good result on race day.

IMO they were disappointing on race day especially considering 3 in the top 4 in qualyfying, In your own opinion 2 dnfs and a 14th is good, so be it. I really dont care

and yes the XD's were disspointing on race day in 1980

Read the post again-Victor wasn’t blaming Chaz.

Sounds like BMW have learnt from their mistakes and won’t put all their eggs in one basket nor have any gentlemen drivers or Bathurst legends not matter how much the PR people might like it.

But the effort wasn't a success-2 DNF and 14th would be hardly cause to celebrate considering the money and effort put into this years race. I don't know how you could consider it a a success for BMW.

The car was fast, it wasn't the issue moreso some of the people behind the wheel. It appears BMW won't make that same mistake twice.

I dont consider it a success, I said it was disappointing, All these posters are arguing with me and telling me it wasnt disappointing because they led a few laps at the start

Initial Entry List released with a day left available to enter
http://www.bathurst12hour.com.au/new...ding-bathurst/

Impressive Audi presence as always but standout is WRT. Manthey, Schnitzer, healthy dose of McLaren's however zero Tekno presence.

Notable absences (so far) include Maranello, Nissan, Walkinshaw & Astin Martin.
