there seems to be a design error in the R5 wich will cost a lot of time(and money) to get it out.

f1racing: "Timo Glock was the only other driver in action finishing the day twelfth fastest ahead of both Jaguars, but at the wheel of the Jordan Ford EJ13. He managed over fifty laps, but suffered a crash at the final corner when he went off the track, damaging the rear of his car which ended up in some flames."

To be fair to Glocks even if it was driver error that was a full grandprix distance (well nearly) he had covered before he crashed!

I read that that they fixed the car and he went out for a few more laps. (Autosport)

Why do they always do this? They have only had a year to design the thing!

Rear wings missing...is that a result of the crash or a return of problems from last year?

All the same ... That's a pretty repectable number of laps for a 21 year-old in an F1 car for the first time. Decent best time, too, new tyres or not.

Just a benchmark for you: Schumi first time in F1 car drove out of the pits and then straight back in thinking it was too powerful. Then went out again and did 36 laps and beat Jordan's then lap record of Silverstone- I know only one Schumi

Try Hard should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
From what i read somewhere (can't remember where, I think Autosport.com), it was driver error. He understeered off at the last turn in spain, lost it on the gravel and spun across the track, stoping in front of the pit wall. Not sure what he hit, i reckon the tyre barrier of something, although you can see the gravel on the track if you look above the LF tyre (looks like spots on the picture).
they did get the car fixed for him to get some more laps in befor the end of the day.

Hope that helps
Ed
