Road course test - this weekend!
The international TV comentators said that a test at Homestead Miami's infield road course will take place this weekend. Haven't found any links yet, but we'll keep you posted on this...

The news about the test this coming weekend has been around the net for a while now (a week at least
 ). Can't remember seeing a dedicated article on the matter - yet - though.I think it's good they elected to do the test at Homestead and not some track that has been used by open-wheelers in the past, as it would immediately lead to comparisons etc, something the IRL can do without for this first test and all the unknowns it will bring to the table. |

My concern is that a hurricane in the eastern Carribbean could definitely threaten this session a tthe end of the week...
and when the news first came out that these tests would happen near Labor Day weekend in Florida, this concern immediately came to mind...because Labor Day is the peak of the Hurricane season on the USA East Coast.... |

and probably 10+ inches of rain??? I don't think so.....but let's hope it turns norht over the next few days and misses the US entirely.... |

This could be very ugly for Florida, should it hit there. They havn't gotten over Charlie yet...
I'm chomping at the bit to see how well the Dallara's and G-Force cars handle the road courses. I wonder if there will be a big performance difference in the two? |
