Well others have responded to your post but this part is one I can't let go. If we accept your argument as valid then you need to follow it through to a logical conclusion. LH matches Alonso (rather than beats, really!) in LH's rookie season. JB almost matches (two failures neither of which were JB's fault would have made it even closer, not to mention notching up 2 victories before LH scored one) an older established and more experienced LH in his (JB's) first season with McLaren and then fairly convincingly beats him the second year. You must know where this is leading, and there are therefore a couple of conclusions, using your own logic, that you should be coming to! I'm sure I don't have to spell them out.

'Young' Hammy is not so young anymore but I agree that he should get better; indeed there are already signs that he is thinking much more about his racing; wonder who he learned that from. I still think that this is one of the strongest driver pairings ever, but it would be difficult to avoid the conclusion which one is, at the moment, the marginally weaker link, although I accept that may not always be so.

Even if JB never wins another race, I think the last two and a bit seasons have more than proved his point; most would not have forecast the outcome that we have seen so far.

hard to say the slowest due to their slow cars, but NK did get up to 10th for the restart in Malaysia so thats got to count for something. as far as lap times and quali spots he has been slower than PDR though.
