I was having quite a good day out at Eastern Creek raceway for a six hour race (I'm on a team, not a driver) and during a break in qualifying I wandered down to Alfacors garage and chatting with him about how things are going he mentioned a little F1 car was going for a run.

It turns out it was a 1985 Ferrari. A great little car (seemed about the same length as a 1997 F3 car). Sounded magnificent, though quite a bit quieter than new F1 cars.

That's all, he ran a number of laps and I enjoyed it immensely.

Wow ..that would have been great to see elephino..especially at Eastern creek..turn one would have been interesting..any idea on who the owner/driver was and what kind of lap time did they do compared to a v8 supercar or a Formula Holden?

I wish we had more of these cars in the country

I heard a rumour that the Prancing Horse team had bought an F310B and Mark Noske will be driving the car in demo laps at every SCS round next year. I so hope this is true, the beer swilling V8 boofheads will not know what hit them.

Though, Avesco are well known for their habit of not giving a second invite to any support act who dares to show up the main event.

Yep, Prancing Horse now owns the car that Schumacher was driving a couple of years ago in the season decider, 1997, when he gave Jacques a right royal boof. That man has some serious $$, they guy owns a Ferrari dealership, an F1 car, and 5 360 Modenas Nations Cup cars....

According to Falcadore, it was run at Philip Island and crashed (I'm not sure when). He also might know who owns it. A shame it wasn't running very quickly, due to being told to run slowly I'd say but it still sounded great.

I don't know if any of you read Motorsport magazine (the one with the green cover), but for several months, they had an advertisement of Schumacher's F310B that he drove to his great wins in the rain at Monaco and Spa in 1997. Beautiful car.
