2007 V8SCFC Round 3 Pukekohe Results
Farewell Pukekohe - we'll miss you (well, everyone except Paul Morris anyway...) Top Ten in NZ Club 27 Racing (woodbine) 96 Rowdy Motorsport (Rowdy) 96 Gotta Race (billybanana) 96 4 Pinnacle Motorsport (marcus) 93 5 Below Average Racing (Average Punter) 91 5 Team Bourbonphone (Micklegend) 91 5 Hayden Craig Motorsport (H C Motorsport) 91 8 Red Bull Autotechnica (HRT433) 86 8 Henger Race Engineering (cozmo888) 86 10 05 Racing Forever (adz_34) 83 10 Team Green Bean (Peckstar) 83 10 Brendon Engineering (pwr fan) 83 Ominous signs for everyone else as defending series champion Club 27 Racing scored their first win of 2007, although they were caught in a three-way dead heat by Rowdy Motorsport and Gotta Race as they charged over the mountain for the last time. Congrats to all the champion drivers (who are far too numerous to list) Hard Charger Award Henger Race Engineering blazed around Pukekohe, proving far too hot for anyone in front of them on the way to a 10-place gain and the Hard Charger Award. Likewise on the move were Hayden Craig Motorsport and Team Bourbonphone (both up 9), and Snap Crackle Pop Racing (up 8). Biggest Loser Award Rombles Racing executed a very classy upside-down spin down the pit straight, but unfortunately points are not awarded for artistic impression, and they fell 11 places as a result. Also wishing they were back on West Island were Team MVMotorsport and NNR, who both dropped 7 places. Standings after Pukekohe (last round in brackets): 1 (2) Club 27 Racing (woodbine) 284 2 (3) Rowdy Motorsport (Rowdy) 282 (-2) 2 (3) Gotta Race (billybanana) 282 (-2) 4 (9) Pinnacle Motorsport (marcus) 267 (-17) 5 (5) 05 Racing Forever (adz_34) 265 (-19) 6 (1) Chrysler 101 Racing (M-Kart) 264 (-20) 7 (6) Team Green Bean (Peckstar) 261 (-23) 7 (6) Brendon Engineering (pwr fan) 261 (-23) 9 (8) Team Chaparral Racing (TCR-028) 247 (-37) 10 (17) Below Average Racing (Average Punter) 243 (-41) 11 (11) Team Tiger Racing (carma) 239 (-45) 11 (11) BlueBlood Motorsport (BlueBlood) 239 (-45) 11 (20) Team Bourbonphone (Micklegend) 239 (-45) 14 (10) Total Team Red & One Other (Harves) 236 (-48) 14 (18) Red Bull Autotechnica (HRT433) 236 (-48) 16 (15) S.L.U.T. Rowdy Motorsport and Gotta Race have no intention of letting them get away again though. There is something seriously wrong in the Battle of the Mods now, as Pinnacle Motorsport have found themselves in the Top 5! We're not quite sure how this has happened, but without any proof of rocket fuel we have to say well done to Marcus on the turnaround. Scuderia Cavallo Ferro are now a distant second, while CelciusSport have a lot of work to do. |

Chrysler 101 Racing - it was good while it lasted!
after taking a 15 point series lead into round 3 following a round win in WA, Chrysler 101 Racing are kinda annoyed to now be in 6th place. While Will Davison & Mark Skaife had solid points scoring weekends (despite a wheel nuts attempt to stop Skaife), we dont want to see another bent bonnet off stevn johnson's car ever again. 3 in 1 weekend - one per race - and a top speed loss of abou 10km/hr as a result - no surprise steve dropped to 22nd in race 2. A good attempt to bring it back fell 1 place short of points - 16th in race 3. if only the race ran its full number of laps...... Shane Price had a bad weekend - again no points - so his performance is being reviewed. Watch this space..... M-Kart: Chrysler 101 Racing team owner/manager/boss/all-round good bloke! P.S.: Clearance sale on damaged 300C race bonnets at the 101 shop!!! |

Club 27 Racing Leads the Championship
A weekend of consistent finishes has seen Club 27 Racing take its first round win of the season to move into first place in the championship. Drivers Mark Skaife and James Courtney finished in the top ten in each of the races while Will Davison's worst result was 11th in race 1. To cap it off Fabian Coulthard was only 2 seconds off picking up points in the final race. The team is now waiting for its cars to return from New Zealand so that it can prepare for the next round at Winton. |

Club 27 Racing - The Kings of Pukekohe
Club 27 Racing are certainly going to miss Pukekohe after a bored lunch-hour's research revealed that the team has won this round for the last three years. Here's hoping we can keep the run up at Hamilton next year |

Australian Motorsports Optimistic After Pukekohe
After moving two spots up the ladder in the V8 Supercar Fantasy Championship, Australian Motorsports is looking to build on their forward progress.
"Three of our four drivers scored points, including new recruits Mark Skaife and Steven Johnson," Chatters said after the event. "Shane Price was a bit unlucky with a drive through, but we know he can perform and we're happy with his results." This statement quashes rumours that the team was planning to terminate Price's contract and make their second driver change. "We were only 2 points off scoring a Top Ten finish, and that's just awesome!" |
