Litigation might be the only way Bev would make money out of the series. Good luck with that...

No money, no cast and no script, but the hope to show it this year!

To be fair, it probably won't be much better when it has got all of those things.

But Ch10 have a big chunk of the V8 contract, so there should be a better chance of it not being too awful.

Shine got good reviews for their recent 'INXS: NEVER TEAR US APART' mini series on Ch7.

Hopefully anything on Brock would be abit more accurate and based on fact rather than the fictional Senna doco

I'm not sure how that will help them, 95% of the Brock footage is with Ch7, and Ch9 and the ABC have a chunk of the leftover 5% too

Even having those three things doesn't guarantee entertainment - witness the Supercars Series for instance...

If its any thing like the Packer/cricket mini series, there'll be hardly anything to do with the actual sport side of things at all.

As a Fordie, the best thing I have watched on PB, was on a bus trip to Bathurst man years ago. I don't really need to know about his personal life, and ppl saying this and that,
TO me Pete was the opposition in a red and white car , but he could drive, and when Pete , Moff and a couple of others went O/S with a commy and took to the Europeans , this proved , beyond doubt he was one of best steerers.

I live in Melb in the 70's and heard a lot , and media story's, but like all, media, one side , glamorise, Maybe he was , maybe he wasn't , I cant comment as I didn't know him personally.

So make of it what you will

Cast seems reasonable. Steve Bisley is usually pretty good.

The big difference is that the family is on board talking about NDA's and inviting the cast over for dinner

Its all been written about decades ago (the womanizing and so on ).
Nothing to see here except poor quality tv drama I would imagine, which might be of interest to people such as yourself.
Might be fun to watch just to see who plays Harves and Moff but little else I would think.

Considering Brock was before my time. So it'll give us more insight into the man himself. Hell no to reading a book.

Brock fans will love the idea until its shown. Then spend the next 12 months on various forums pedantically picking out the faults and showing their disgust and contempt that their hero wasn't portrayed in a positive enough light. Others will be laughing at the poor attempted accent (Moffat) and the usual terrible acting. Looking forward to it!!

Not to mention how bad any of the staged 'racing' in the movie will be...

And has any staged racing ever looked anything close to decent in a movie??

PS..."Grand Prix", "Le Mans", "Redline 7000", "Fireball 500" & "Winning" to mention only a few all featured scenes in the movie that had real racing rather than staged racing.

Exactly!

And what will happen when a modern-liveried Qantas 747 flies through the background of a shot set in the 70s

I at least hope that all the events that "came to light" after his death get ignored, I dispise people that come out of the woodwork with claims once the person is not able to defend themselves, especially when the events are already 30+ years old...
