angst should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Everyone seems agreed that we need better racing, more opportunities for ovetaking etc. and that nobody has any aversion to making the cars safer.
So how about banning carbon brakes and carbon suspension units.
The banning of carbon brakes would increase the breaking distances into corners, creating more openings for overtaking. As far as the carbon suspension units go, well as this was the biggest factor in Ayrton Senna's death I'm surprised no-one has taken action on this before now. My understanding of it is that the carbon suspension punctured Senna's helmet. Earlier this year we had Ralf Schu injured by suspension component punching through the chassis in a relatively low speed crash. Before carbon-fibre suspension the suspension on F1 cars would buckle under force, not shear as they do now.

Ouch! I chewed away my thumbnail waiting for news on him! Poor baby...
But there is actually action being taken to try and avoid injury. The tub itself is being moved further back from the wheels, and there will be padding to protect the legs. (as of 2001, I think) Those two new modifications may be a direct result of Ralf's accident.

Well, that will spell the end of Wurz' career - there's no room in his tub for any more padding, Seriously, that is a problem for a driver that is bigger than about 5 foot 8. Are we only going to hire little guys then?
