Bit of a thread revival.
Is anyone able to confirm whether it was Leo or Ian Geohegan who drove with Bill Bryce at Sandown in 1987 in the ex JPS BMW325i? According to this it was Ian & they finished 16th: https://www.driverdb.com/championshi...down-500/1987/ But here it says it was Leo & 17th place... http://touringcarracing.net/Races/19...20Castrol.html |

I'm pretty sure it was Leo in the BMW, he had been doing some Group E racing in a Starion that year too
Ian did the Oran Park Silver Anniversary "Commodore Classic" race in early 1987, but I can't recall him doing much other racing around that time (Appendix J in a Mustang at Bathurst in 1989 too) |

From "The Great Race 1987/88", P.63:
"... and a 325i for two delightful veterans in Kiwi Bill Bryce (a former associate of Bruce McLaren) and Australian champion Leo Geoghegan, whose last Bathurst drive had been 14 years before. |

In reference to above, some changes in 635 status can be updated. * The Dean Howe car has been restored & back on the track. * Peter Sturgeon's car has been returned to Group C spec and recently underwent a wee jaunt to the UK & Europe with Jim. * The Graham Dodd car has been sold to Peter Gleeson, a collector in the U.S. * The car that was owned by Jim Richards (which one?) was sold to John Fairhall of Archibalds Motors in Christchurch just over a year ago and is now sporting 'Archibalds' livery from when Trevor Crowe raced with Archibalds sponsorship back in the Group A days. Trevor will be behind the wheel again for historic events, next one the Skope Classic in Christchurch 3/4 February 2018. |

Did Jim own more than one of the 635s? The one I sold to Adrian was one that Jim told me he'd owned after Joe Somariva and it was the 85 championship car.

Jim did own the Neville Creighton car in recent times, but sold it about a year ago and it has gone back to NZ.

Forgetful me, I knew there was some interest from an NZer in getting the car back but wasn't aware it had gone. I forgot about it completely.
