Jaguar problems ...

Heartbreaking as will be to Mark Webber and all his fans, and coming on top of the encouraging news for Sauber, is some seriously bad news for those thinking Jag might be further up the grid this year:

The team has not given details of the problems but said there will be no quick fix and it could be as late as mid-year before all the faults are rectified.

Should known MW, thats a relief, I guess...

The speed of the Sauber(F2003?) is still a bit of a worry though.

darcym should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The R2 was a dog, and had to have an R2B released mid season. This would not be the first time Jaguar have made a major cock up on the car before the launch

If we were Ferrari we would have done it by next week, but we will have to bring it in mid-season. That's a bit of a frustration.

Sidhu has proved to be the worse spin doctor possible.

He over hyped Jag in the first season, He overhyped them in the second and would never say anything negative about the R2, while Lauder was saying its a dog wait for the R2B. I don't understand why he has managed to stay employed.

His best job was holding Irvines umbrella on the grid to get on TV

Defiantely a slow news week when stuff like this gets published. The car hasn't even been tested and we're already signing a death knell?

The 'inherent problem' may just be that the car isn't as fast as the McLaren, which Ferrari could get right within a week but would take Jaguar much longer (by which time McLaren will have advanced further; if you stand still in this game, you move backwards). Give them a chance to get it right before Melbourne.

Seeing as the original story from sportal.co.au appears to have vanished, I'm more willing to believe pitpass.
