I remember a large scale 95 Cavalier 1/24 ish on eBay a while ago, went for silly money, and as you say it didn't look the best of quality, there was also a large 93 Cavalier on eBay, i remember that one having blacked out windows, so no interior detail.

I have no real interest in that scale, i just dont have the room for them, no matter how rare they might be.

BBR or a similar company did make a diecast kit of the 95 Cavalier, never seen one for sale though, yet.

Incorrect daz90, the only 1/43 kit produced of the 1995 Cavalier was made was by Formule and it was a resin kit not metal.

It is listed here http://tentenths.com/forum/showpost....&postcount=214

Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

Model arrived this morning. On the whole its very good, the Accident Exchange details are very nicely done as is the rest of the livery. The only negative is that the HiQ white text on blue background bit isn't very well done, but I can live with that.

Any of the blue factory cars I would love, before they went to the blue and yellow scheme.

I'd like a decent model of a Rapid Fit schemed Mondeo (those kits are appalling!)

Have you actually seen one in the flesh? I have not, so I cannot comment on them.
Someone did post somewhere that the finished model looks better than the company's pictures of it???

Dunno!

It'd take a lot of work - the whole thing looks wrong. Bodyshape, spoiler, lights, wheels - pretty much all of it in fact. For that money it should be a lot better.

The fact that the real car wasn't a saloon is enough to confine it to the 'poor effort' category before we even get on to the rest of it.

There I was hoping for someone to convince me to buy one of these....

But the more I hear the more I am not convinced it would not be a good idea..

Thanks guys. I will use the money on a better project.

That reminds me.. I got one of the HPI Alfas the other day. It's FAR, FAR better than a Minichamp version.

You should see if you can't make one yourself... add it to your collection of self-built cars!

The 2009 car is a copy of the car that Turkington ran at the final round at Brands Hatch.

And yes they all have the correct wheels.

Peter, is that a Turkington model you yourself have made? or is it a new release from Spark?

They have all been specially converted using the Spark model. Even the 2007 model is different to the one on sale.

You cannot buy these in any model shop!

Any competent modeller could do it in a weekend. Providing you have one of the RAC BMW's to start with!

It's only a case of removing unwanted or incorrect decals and replacing them with new ones. Plus the wheels need changing.

Nice work Peter. Even the orange lip on the 2009-spec Rays wheels. One question though, why is the 07 car on Advan tyres?
