As far as i heard in Belgian press Loix is taking his sponsor, Marlboro, with him to any team he will go to, even if it's a private team.

Like he had with Toyota in 1998.

So doubt that we'll see a red Subaru

Also Subaru seem to have moved away from major sponsors. Back in the McRae days they were sponsored by BAT and had the 555 branding on the cars where regs allowed. The last 2-3 years they've had their own logo, so I doubt they'd want to return to the racing fag packet colours even if Tommi had the Marlboro money (which he doesn't)

Ignoring that the Subarus are basically running 555 colours anyway.

i think it was more that BAT were putting so much money into F1 that they didn't want to sponsor a Rally team rather than Subaru chosing ot go away from a Cigarette manufacturer. There money is as good as any.

Update time:

Subaru want Loix to compete on the tarmac rallies (4) and so Marlboro would be at Subaru. Mitsubishi are also talking to Marlboro in hope they can keep Marlboro on their cars, even though Loix is leaving.
