Lola T192
I believe the Lola T192 deserves its own thread here. The Lola T192 (circa 1971) was developed from the previous season's T190 model. Both were specifically built for Formula 5000 racing, where they would be powered by 5-liter Chevy V8 engines. Both models featured similar aluminum monocoque chassis. The most obvious difference between the T190 and T192 models is wheelbase, but there are many other important differences. Lola produced seventeen T190 racecars, followed by twelve T192 racecars.
This article shows the T192 design and how it differed from the T190, in text and detailed close-up photos: Mead Korwin's Lola T192 (Chassis HU192/22) |
