D.R.T. should be qualifying in the top 5 on the gridD.R.T. should be qualifying in the top 5 on the grid
I found the race one of the better ones of the year. 500 mile races should be about attrition.

A resurface may be useful but its not a necessity.

Once again I think it highlighted the need for more ovals on the schedule - short track & superspeedway

What I've always liked about AOWR, compared to F1, is the variety of tracks and the variety of oval tracks.

I'd definitely keep Fontana as a 500 mile race, Pocono will be 500 miles next season and along with Indy, maybe we will see the return of the Triple Crown. There are plenty of other ovals, which can be used for 200 mile "sprint" races.

They tried this at Texas in 2011.

The general concencus afterwards seemed to be nobody liked it, so they returned to the single 550k in 2012.

Dragger has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

Was it same day? Did they charge extra for the tickets?

Both races were the same day. I have no idea if extra was charged but what did prove unpopular was the drivers chosing their grid positions for the second race with a blind draw, which was done on a stage in front of the main stretch.
