Is that perhaps with GT4 rather than GT3? From what I hear the GT4 field is full of potential battles and the BOP will be "difficult" shall we say?

I heard specifically in Blancpain GT for the HTP McLaren rumour, but as I say, it's an employee of McLaren F1, no grounds beyond potential workplace gossip

There's also suggestion a 720s GT3 is well underway, which personally I hope very much is the case

To add to this, looks like at least 3 cars.

The statement says 1 pro am car alongside the pro CARS. Plural. Meaning 3 or more in total?

Hopefully it'll be 4 but with SRO imposing a limit on Pro entries in 2018 it might just be 3

Great news on Manthey if true!

That Endurance info article writes off Bernhard Team75 though, they focus on Gt Masters for now

R-Motorsport's pro car will include Alex Brundle, and Jake Dennis... nice combo, wouldn't be surprised to see new AMR factory man Alex Lynn join as the third driver.

This is an Endurance only entry

Also wouldn't be surprised if we see a second Pro-Am or Am entry to supplement this Pro car

Two cars confirmed on their website and I wouldn't be surprised to see both of them will be in Pro.

The R Motorsport news is great, for the first time an all pro Aston will compete a season in Blancpain. Only question for me, is it a few seasons too late? Is there enough scope for the BOP to enable it to be competitive? We know for sure that the Aston does not have the same downforce than the latest cars. Im excited though.

The Aston Martin dominated in Pro-Am last season and it was the only Pro-Am car in de Superpole of the Spa 24.

I imagine with the new Vantage GT3 coming in 2019, this is going to be a learning year for the team and drivers in preparation for a serious title tilt in 19! One can hope

Porsche have confirmed Manthey will run a full programme in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. Drivers will be Romain Dumas, Frédéric Makowiecki and Dirk Werner.

Car Collection Motorsport with 2 Audis for the Blancpain GT Endurance Cup, in addition to their two car ADAC GT and VLN programmes.

Assumes that means no more 24h series for them!

EDIT: Endurance Info saying the Blancpain Campaign may be only for Paul Ricard and Spa...

Curious to see if Rowe / BMW will return after the below bar season they had. They were publicly quite critical at times. At the same time, BMW is bound to focus its efforts on the new M8.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a withdrawal to ADAC GT / VLN and/or a change of manufacturer

Probably coinciding with the SRO's attempt to encourage more Pro Am and less Pro in Blancpain in 2018

I’d be expecting them to pull back to ADAC GT or VLN as opposed to a change of manufacturer.

Then again there’s rumours around of HTP switching to Honda or McLaren so I dunno anything’s possible. I still think HTP will stick with AMG unless the Japanese or British throw a pot of gold their way.

I think McLaren are going to want to try and entice a big team at some point in 2017 so they have a high level customer in Blancpain for the new 720s... that said, I'm sure HTP may have had conversations, but I still agree they will likely end up staying with AMG.

The AMG is probably the most solid GT3 platform right now
