Car brochures, magazines etc
I have been sorting through the boxes in the attic to make room for more Porsche stuff. But where can I sell/swap the non Porsche car brochures, the magazines, the posters, the manuals etc.

Ebay usually has a good market for brochures in their Automobilia section.

Car brochures from mid sixties to 2000 including Mini Cooper S, Lotus Elan, Ford Cortina Mk1 to MGTF.
Showroom posters mainly Vauxhall depicting race and rally successes with Chevette, Astra, Monza, Manta etc. Magazines, Car, Motor, Autocar, Autosport, MotorSport, Fast Lane, Fast Car, Which Kit, Component Classics and various other titles. Press packs, photos, road test reprints etc. Motor sport press packs mainly BTCC. Manufacturer mags from BMW, Citroen, Renault, Volvo, Fiat, Vauxhall, etc. Driver manuals, Haynes etc RAC MSA blue books. BARC and BRSCC mags. BMW 3.0CSL Turbo jigsaw and other oddities. There are still several boxes to open so who knows what else I've squirreled away. |

I'd agree with the ebay solution, opens out your audience somewhat. For the magazines, things like Grand Prix issues or Le Mans reports sell very well as individual copies. Trust me, I've bought a few this way.....

Race and rally successes for the Chevette?! Hell hath frozen over!
Oh. You guys must have gotten a good Chevette. My sister replaced a Yugo with a Chevy Chevette and it was a serious step back. |

KC. The 2279cc 16v Chevette HSR has cylinder heads based on Lotus technology and power outputs of 240-250bhp. In group 5 trim they have 2.6 litres pushing out 275-280bhp. They went out of production 25 years ago.
Craig and Aysedasi as mentioned above still boxes to sort through but have to hand BTCC press stuff from Audi, BMW, Ford, Renault and Vauxhall all from 1996 and Le Mans is limited to Motoring News preview 1995. Are there any particular cars/teams/drivers I should be looking out for? |

*puts hand up*
Insane collector always interested in race event programmes and entrylists - good prices paid...! In all seriousness, some of those brochures you've mentioned already in the thread really deserve to go on ebay, with a good picture applied to the listing. It's startling what brochures can fetch these days. |

Seems to have gone quiet here carrera - just as you've got quite a few of us interested! Any more info for us or have you now sold the lot for a small fortune on EBay?

Still looking through various piles of stuff and trying to put it into some sort of order. Have sorted BTCC brochures/guides/mags etc also ITC stuff. Have checked through Autocar and Motor, a very long job as I felt a need to read.
Le mans is limited to Motoring News preview 1995. |

I'm still finding stuff, opened a box marked photos and found mostly programmes. TimD, any particular programmes that you are looking for, appear to have Eurocar (loads), festival, RAC rally 1983, rallycross IndyAtlantic 1976 so far.
Have also come across some more Le Mans reviews etc, Aysedasi, but it appears from another thread you have these already. |
