FINALLY!!!!!!! Glenn Seton is on next week!
Wonder if or how they'll cover his 1997 win considering they're restricted to CH7 footage...? |

Noonz supplies a lot of the stills from the rather extensive Coventry Collection that he purchased.

Has anybody else noticed they aren't always blurring out the tobacco advertising as much this series?
I wonder what has changed since the first season in which they were blurring it out? |

rich07, go to the Shannon's website and you can replay any episode.
Interesting character George, didn't go rallying until he was 28, didn't race on Tarmac until he was forty and then retired at fifty. No go- karts, no formula ford just straight in the deep end up against Brock, Moffat etc. The lap record in the turbo Bluebird at 2 mins 13 seconds is pretty impressive for a little car from thirty years ago--compared all the improvements in tyres, carbon fibre, suspension, etc that are in today's V8's and not to mention wads of cash! Imagine the current crop of V8 drivers driving the local school bus. |

Not sure why they showed Gary Scott a number of times.
But a great episode nonetheless. |

Fury's lap record stood until 1990, although the early lack of aerodynamics on the early Group A cars and the arrival of the Chase in 1987 that added about 5 seconds to lap times obviously helped its longevity. Nonetheless was still one of the great laps. So if we assume that on the extended circuit it would have taken 2:18, quite impressive to be within 15 seconds of this year's times.
