MATTinSURREY should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Where are all the Modsports Cars???

Where have all the modsports cars gone?

I've been searching for the last few months of a decent Maguire, Davrian or similar.

Do you remember the Wendy Wools series? Maybe I'm showing my age but I can't believe all the cars have been destroyed. If you've got one laying around (or know of one) please get in touch.

There's not much to race them in but I've always promised myself one when money became available.

My email address is mattinsurrey@btopenworld.com

Is this the one in Autosport by any chance? If it is I needed smelling salts when I found out the price!

I think we're talking about the same car. It's advertised at: http://www.srgtc.org.uk/Exchange-For_Sale.htm

It's up at over £6k, which I'm afraid is outside my budget.

Aint you heard of haggling? He may be open to offers. BTW he has spent a lot of time sorting it and he won in it at Brands last month against some very fast cars.

The one on the SRGT site is a different car. Both are very well sorted and worth the money. However there are two other Davrian's for sale in Ireland at less. One is a Davrian Imp and the other is a Mk8 modsports. Both are £2k but are only rolling shells. Depending on the gearbox and engine you want to run you would be looking at at least another £2k to finish them. Maguires are around but are now going for a lot of money. The cheapest option would be a Clan. Can be made as quick as the Davrian for a lot less. If you want I'm based in Camberley and have a modsports Davrian and you are more than welcome to come over for a chat and a look. I know the whereabouts of at least one Clan that is for sale plus a few other cars.
