What next for Vergne, Mortara, Stoneman?
These 3 are the first of the major single seater series to be crowned for this season.
What do we think they will be doing next season? |

Vergne I'd guess would be almost certain to be in World Series, following in the footsteps of Alguersuari and Ricciardo before him.
Mortara is in more of a tricky situation. He did o.k in GP2 but fell out with the team, took the gamble to step back into F3E and it paid off but its hard to see where to go. World Series and F2 aren't much of a step up, although the kudos of winning the Euroseries is diminished due to the poor grids. Would he be better off looking stateside? Stoneman obviously gets an F1 test as his prize, GP2 would be the more logical step up but does he have the budget for it. Could be another one moving to Indy Lights. |

So I guess GP3 and Gutierrez doesn't count?

Maybe. But who do they get rid of? Bianchi didn't exactly put Sam Bird away.

I would think Guttirez will drive for Addax with Telmex backing And i bet Mortara will be back in GP2 as he had 2 year contract with Arden which will end up this season , so he will be free to get back to GP2 in 2011 Question mark is for Ricciardo ? where will he go ? |

Vergne confirmed yesterday that he'd be racing in FR3.5 for Tech 1 next season.

Yes apologies for the oversight!
Like META 4, I suppose Gutierrez will take Perez' place at Addax, although Sergio did one learning year in GP2 before he got that plum drive so maybe Telmex will do the same with Esteban as well although I would also think that ART might want to promote him if the Telmex money is their's? It's clearly tough to win the series, or even challenge for the title in year one unless you really are mega and/or driving for one of the top 2 teams. Remains to be seen whether the new GP2 car will make it easier or even harder for rookies. |

For Stoneman, and his F2 adversary, they should probably now go F3 although a year in the B class first would probably be best

Palmer is aiming at GP2 for next season, he said it himself, but Stoneman doesn't struck as someone w/ funds, so Auto GP or SF... and Mortara said there's no interest from F1, GP2 is too expensive & may be Indy is next for him.
