'sharing' British GP tickets

I've not attended the GP all weekend before as a punter, and am this year going with three other mates. Two of them aren't going up on the Friday and I was just wondering if it's possible to lend someone a weekend ticket so they can get in on Friday to watch practise or do they exchange them for wristbands? Failing that, do they do tickets for Friday?

The tickets are paper tickets not wristbands. Only the officials, their guests and possibly hospitality have been issued wristbands.

You should be able to lend someone a ticket for the day if the intending recipient can't make one day but i'm not totally sure.

My ticket hasn't arrived yet. But the past couple of years they have been in weekend form, that meaning that they have tear off sections for each day.

So normally it is quite viable to lend someone your ticket, as long as you trust that person enough to get it back!

Thanks all! I do indeed trust the party concerned - she's just coming on Friday as some of our party are working and the ticket will be safe with us!
