thebullet has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Castle Combe 28th May Classic Saloon Raceday.

This is a bit early but it Looks an absolute awesome day: Touring Cars from the '60s, '70s and '80s, including rounds of the Classic & Historic Saloon Car Championship, Post Historic Touring Car Championship, Classic Group 1 Touring Car Championship, Pre '93 Touring Car Challenge, Production BMW Championship, Classic Thunder Modified Production Saloons; also the Sports Racing & GT Challenge, plus round 3 of the Castle Combe Championships for FF1600, Saloons & Special GTs.

Anyone else going?

I am endevouring to have one of the beasts out that day all being well. We are doing a poll on the clubs site to see how many will commit as the more in the cheaper it gets and the pre-93's are already up to 20 cars so it should be a good turn out.

There's seems to be a lot of intrest in this meeting according to commentator Andy Blackman at the last meeting so hopefully all you chaps racing in the various championships will be doing it in front of a large crowd

Not at all if I am honest Gixxer! I will be out in the old car and it has a cooking engine in it, I was hoping to fit a roller cam and some ported F5000 heads but then I knocked out the engine in the black car and so far I know that will need the roller cam as thats knackered and may need the block and steel crank and heads as well that I had earmarked for the other car so I am literelly running at least 150 bhp less than is easy achieveable on these engines, it even has hydraulic lifters and unported factory competition Bowtie heads! Still the chassis and brakes are sorted well so hopefully I won't totally disgrace myself and it sounds good! If I had the black car up and running for pre-93 it may have been a different story though at least I thought it would but oddly the rules have allowed a 3 litre M3 in class A so thats a foregone conclusion to win that one as well!
