Doesn't look like any kind of substance behind that article.

I didn't think Nakajima would make a great endurance driver but he's proven me wrong. Maybe Kobayashi could do the same.

For sure he'd be quick. Would prefer to see another Japanese manufacturer step up with Kamui in their ranks.

Kobayashi is a Toyota driver. I don't see him with another Japanese make if Toyota is there. That's if he even goes to the WEC.

I don't really understand this statement to be honest and the motivation for the ALMS to release it?

And doesn't exactly make things clearer regarding Lizards...

Certainly a way to super charge the rumorverse. Answer isn't forthcoming for while per the wording of the release. It does seem like end of relationship with Porsche because they thank the spectrum of people at Porsche.

I wonder who broke it off with who.
And if the LMP1, and tie up with Manthey had anything to do with it.

Okay, my bad! But I guess it's a loss for GT racing that Porsche will return to prototype sportscar racing instead.

Still, I have a feeling that the Flying Lizards would race in a BMW Z4!

Nope. Maythey are becoming Porsche's new Joest, while FL's press release seems like a parting letter. I just hope they don't go DP!

But they already have a DP team in Grand-Am, powered by BMW.

Yes, and as I recall, it was leased from another team, so FLM would not "own" the car.

Has Dyson said anything about how the flybrid has worked for them? Are they getting more power, better economy, any problems?

According to http://www.dysonracing.com/company/n...p?news_id=1223 the Flybrid system mainly helps in traffic.
Quote:
This was the second race for the Flybrid KERS Hybrid system on the #16 car. “We made good strides with the system this week and will continue to work with it over the winter,” said Smith. “Its little bursts help when you are trying to work your way through the slower cars.” This was the first time Steven Kane has driven a car with a hybrid system. “My main focus this weekend was doing the best job I could for Chris and Guy and help them in their fight for the championship,” he said. “So my main battle was getting through traffic cleanly and the KERS helped make that a more confident exercise.”
The Flybrid system is less powerful (100 kW) than the system from Audi (150 kW) and Toyota (220 kW).

The Flybrid spokesperson at the Dyson pavilion at PLM said the system was running half-power this season as a test of durability, and would be turned up next year.

At 40 kg the system is supposed to offer better power:weight than most too I believe.

Thanks. I imagine they can still easily be at 900kg even with that extra weight.
