Ouch, the Ferrari is ugly! I love those cars but the snorkle and rear deck on that one, YIKES.

The Mirage had the Westlake engine-correct?

Yes. Developped by J. Wyer, I.Bailey and Mr Weslake, the Mirage M6 V12 3litres appeared on LM track in 1973 during the 31 march/1st april practices. The engine was a Ford-Weslake 3 litres with 465 hp.
It was heavier than the common Mirage, but was larger and longer.
D. Bell made a 3'56"70 on this car as Ganley did 3'40" with the classical Mirage spyder.
Finally, the Mirage M6 spyder were chosen for the race.

Bob Riebe User has been fined for unsportsmanlike behaviour!
From the looks of the Mirage it is at a high speed the way the body is setting down on the chassis.
Even with the body setting down, look how much ground clearance the car still has; as it should be.
I have the Weslake book at home, if I remember right, Harry never was happy about how poorly that engine was treated by various concerns. I think he thought no one had ever really tried to make it work.
