NW Formula Ford 2013

NW Formula Ford got underway at Oulton Park last weekend with a 45 car entry which is pretty impressive considering the current financial climate.

Tom Bradshaw had 2 fairly straightforward wins in the more modern class and it was a bit disappointing that their 2nd race ended behind the safety car.



Our own "Redracer" was the star of both Pre 90 races. A lead of 7 seconds disappeared when a rear bolt pulled out of the rear suspension...



...and having to start at the back of the grid for race 2 was put into the gravel on the first lap at Cascades...





...but Chris pressed on and finished an amazing 4th!!!

One of my favourite club-level championships - clean, close racing & a great bunch (if that's the right word!) of people.

North West has always been a great championship glad to see post89 with a decent grid. Ten cars at Knockhill is ok when you consider most drivers are local. Most peole south of the boarder wont travel ,something to do with getting a nose bleed as its to far. Even Brands cant put a Championship on anymore . Lets hope James Beckett Brands races are well supported ,he deserves it. Great pictures Alan
