Ferrier gets Alfa backing
According to autosport.com, Tom Ferrier is to receive offical backing from Alfa UK for his ETCC campaign.
He joins Larini, Giovanardi and Bernadoni as offical Alfa drivers. His car will continue to be run by Dart (an offshoot of JAS motorsport). Seems ironic doesn't it, that no one could attract any support from Alfa UK for the BTCC, yet Ferrier is going to be supported by them in the ETCC..... |

Shame indeed. I believe that Alfa were supposed to enter the series in 1998 but pulled out at the 11th hour. Givonardi was to be a driver. He said he still wants to race in the UK before he retires.

I heared that Alfa UK has not got involved in the BTCC in the past few years due to the teams that are and were running the cars. Dont blame them really, how many times have we seen an Alfa road car being stripped at the back of the pit garages with hordes of kids on micro scooters in the team garage!! Is that what Alfa Romeo would want??!!
