BMW & Alfa Romeo looks real nice too - had only seen some photos of the BMW before, so it was nice seeing them on track during some testing

I get Autosport a week late down here in Australia.
Can you tell me whether Autosport have done a ETCC preview in this weeks edition? I hope they have. They should have.

Nissan could be a dark horse for the title.

DRT - make sure you let the media know here in Australia about the ETCC. Send them emails, etc. I am.

Giovanardi was fastest in testing, with the fastest BMW over half a second off behind two other Alfas. Are there weight penalties in ETCC?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Nissan & Volvo right up there during the latter part of the season, but from the beginning I think BMW and Alfa Romeo will be the ones sluggin' it out for the wins.

I reckon BMW vs Alfa in the early rounds. Volvo will get more competitive as the year goes on, Rustad could be a darkhorse for some wins in the Nissan, but i don't think the championship.

I reckon it will be so competitive we won't know who to predict. I think Fabrizio de Simone is very motivated to do well for team boss Ravaglia.

You all seem to be forgetting about Honda.

Granted its not a full works entry but they might surprise a few people later on in the season

I don't think so!

They need to improve by a HUGE amount. Only one made it into qualifying at Magny-Cours and it was last.

Don't forget that Honda don't have their proper car ready yet- that was an interim car that is basically Super Production spec, so was always going to be well off the pace- the proper cars should be out for Silverstone. It may take them a while to get sorted, but I wouldn't count them out just yet....
