In that context Formula 1 should be a contest between 24 one-car teams.
I've always thought of F1 as being a mixture of competition between teams as well as having the team infrastructure and support for their drivers.

Indeed. But, as bauble says, the main goal is the drivers championship. Who in the world would have thought that Red Bull had won the constructors championship in Austin unless we were all told that they had? For the most part it looked like Adrian Newey's dog had just been shot, and this is something that they have achieved that is worth many millions of dollars above finishing in second place!

Anyway, F1 has always been this way, and if you don't like it you can always watch rallying or something.

Plus, just imagine if TGF had held up Vettel just enough to cost him 4 points. He would never dare set foot in Germany again! Good thinking on his part, IMO.

The green flag was on the driver's right, exit of T4, about 10m past the orange "gap in the fence" marker at the end of the gravel trap. Well, well before the light box halfway down the straight.

Maybe it was a sour green flag?

Kimi did say to Autosport that he did know what he was doing because there is a gate at the exit and it happened to be closed. It was open during one of his previous GP's. He said he will make sure it's open next time.

Lotus will no doubt be fitting Sat-Nav as standard to Kimi's car for next season.

I'm well aware the WDC is the main goal, winning the constructor's championship is the icing on the cake.

I'll carry on watching/following F1, I've been doing so since 1972, why let an old habit die now,
