German Grand Prix circuits

Hi all

yet another challenging question. This time I'm looking for an answer
to this:

Name four motor racing circuits in Germany that have hosted Grand Prix.

Three are easy: Hockenheim, Nurburgring, Berlin (Avus). But there
must be a fourth, and that's the one I'm looking for. You could,
of course, argue that Nurburgring was in fact 2 circuits, and there
was a whole series of non-championship races at places like Leipzig, Rostock, Karl-Marx Stadt, Sachsenring, but I don' think these count.
I guess I'm after something in the time before 1950.

Any and all help would be much appreciated.

regards

As far as I know, the four are indeed Hockenheim, Avus and the two Nurburgrings. I don't know of any other. The two Nurburgrings are so massively different that I'm sure you can count them as two different circuits.

There is no other track to host a German GP. First one was held in 1928 at Nürburgring, and they were always raced there, or Avus or Hockenheim.

But Nürburgring was built with two different designs: Südschleife (7,7 km) and Nordschleife (22,8 km). The late one held the german GPs at the 70s, but the first one held one or two races in the 50s. Maybe that's the difference you were looking for.

A race at Taunus in the early 20s may be what you are looking for.I believe it is regarded as the first German GP by some historians.
