crozier74 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The 4 remaining franchises

Who do you think they will/should go to?

I reckon Finland, Japan, Spain and Russia would round things off nicely

Are you sue there's only 4 franchises left? There are still five "question mark" flags on the a1gp site.

I'd guess:
Russia-biggest country on earth, an absolute no-brainer choice. For drivers they'd be looking at Vasiliev, Fomenko and maybe Zlobin

Spain- A notale omission, especially since Portugal's already in there

Japan- Major centre of the motor industry, so definitly ought to be in there. There's plenty of FNippon and SuperGT pedallers who'd jump at the chance- maybe Takagi?

Belgium- Need an excuse to go to Spa

Egypt- Africa is under-represented in the current line-up, so another entry would redress the balance.

A1GP say there are 12 more countries applied than they have space for

Switzerland does not have a flag, but has a franchise anounced. Africa is poorly represented as they do not have any racing drivers or racing that I know of,and I think that countries like Niger have more important things to worry about at the moment?

Not surprising that there are more countries than spaces but what factors is A1GP taking into account in deciding which of the countries that have applied will get franchises?

True, but then (iirc)the Mexican franchise is being run by DAMS, so perhaps it might be run "on behalf" of the African country in question. My point was that Africa is a massive land area and population, so needs to be represented more. It is the "world cup" of motorsport afterall. Another Latin American team couldn't hurt, either.

I'd love to see that happen, but nobody in this country are willing to fund it. It isn't gonna be on tv either.

I'd reckon the UAE will take one, given that that's Makhtoum al Makthoums home country. I think Spain will too, because it's been said that amongst the remaining franchises, there is a big european country. I also think Indonesia will, given that the country is probably gonna be hosting an event. Finally, i think Argentina will have a franchise too.

a1gp-world.com has Singapore down on its list of (23) teams, so I would guess that is one of them.

I would also agree that Argentina and Spain are likely.

British Antarctic Territory! Shouldn't have any sponsorship worries there.

Sounds reasonable, Sceptic. I guess it'll be UAE, Argentina, Spain, and whichever of Singapore or Indonesia that gets the GP.

Me too Mike, Japan would have I would have thought been near the top of A1 GP's list, after all theres lots of teams capable of running the cars and Im sure they woudnt have any problems finding drivers.

UAE will definitely be one, I'd assume, given the Sheik's nationality.

Italy had a flag on the website, but it has been removed-indicating that plans for a franchise have been abandoned?

No, just indicating that they changed the flags to only show those which have been announced.
