You are right Gixxer bit to much rear anti-roll bar for the wet I think, she did'nt go bad in the dry race though and managed to make up 9 places, I got alongside Ian in the Capri and it would have been 7th if I had made it stick it stick but being older and wiser I backed off and lost my momentem then a bit after a big front wheel lock up out the back somewhere (quarry?) and she was getting a bit warm so I backed off a bit(some idiot forgot to switch on fan, me!), still despite everything I really enjoyed the run out.

Despite the weather what a brilliant meeting. Great racing throughout the field ,
The rain came during the easytrack bmw's and what fun that was cars off everywhere.

The sports racing gt field was a little thin but the battle for the lead was one of the best of the day.

Well done to all involved for keeping it on the black stuff

I agree shame they charged for pit entry, Unlike Mallory and Donington that are free.

Hi

Did anybody see the carsh between the Green MG ZR number 23 and yellow MGZR in qualifing for the castle combe sallon championship, was it a big crash.

As i was a mechanic for that car, it had 1 big dent in drivers side and 2 smashed side glass panels, but we managed to get back out.

I noticed i think it was a BMW that hit the tyre wall that the marshals were standing behind and had to wheel spin to get off. Did you see that?

I love racing at Castle Combe, what a great track, well run, great staff, great crowds, genuine interest in what we're doing... I love it, can't wait to be back again another year...

Got a selection of pics from yesterday on my website, mostly FFord , but around 40 odd from the saloons and GT's. Access via public profile. Some should also be on the CCRC web reports in a couple of days.

The green Mg spun on the turn in at quarry and Poor old Tony behind him
threw his car into a spin but side to side contact resulted in big damage.
The saloons practice was action packed with the beachgood focus hitting the barrier
at quarry, russ's evo came up avon rise backwards and bills seat ibiza also hit the fence
