Doune News

Two Top 12 wins for Martin Groves PLUS a new hill record at 36.00 exactly.

Scott Moran took two second places to hold his lead in the championship.

Class records for, amongst others, Garry Dickson and John Stevenson.

Oh yes and the sun shone at Doune on Sunday!

Brian Mac should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi Steve, what a cracking day had by most. the weather improvement from saturday.
Congrats to winners of overall and classes, especially to my mate
Garry Dickson with a storming run up the hill to take class record which had stood for 13 years.
And a good run for Alex Murray in his (spat out boiled sweetie) Alfa, not bad for an old bog standard car.
Bad luck to Steven Murray on hitting the barrier at junction, third time lucky mate.

I signed on as press for the first time under the watchfull eye of
big Ian (not Paisley) i got some good shots and most of all enjoyed getting even closer to the action, sometimes too close.

See ya at the speed weekend. TIGGER!!!!

Don't forget John Stevenson who shattered Graeme Bremner's Over 1800 Road Saloon record by a mind-boggling 1.87 seconds!

I was glad to see Graeme Wight's two class records remained in-tack - small compensation for all his woes in the run-offs.

Already looking forward to the Trip to Ulster!
