The new Anglesey Circuit

Over the last week-end (9th & 10th June) Chester Motor Club ran two sprints on the International and the National Courses.
We were the first people to run on the International course and it is fantastic. The event on Saturday was a single lap that covered about 95% of the course distance. Dan Pickett said his favourite bit was the flat-out kink on the back straight taken at 168mph.
On the Sunday it was 1.95 laps of the National course which incorporated the re-profiled School Bend. Again a wonderful circuit that gives the drivers a massive challenge and a tremendous buzz when you get it right - must remember to try to get it right next time!

Final word must be about the organisers who were absolutely superb. Taking on not one but two new courses was a big challenge for them and they were magnificent - they are now my favourites for the Les Edmunds Trophy! The organisation team have a light touch and take on-board the competitors comments. It is a real pleasure to do their events especially as they in turn seem so pleased that we all turned up!

Steve

On behalf of the organisers ( as I'm not sure how many of the clerks etc have accounts or look on here I will graciously accept your thanks and will ensure that your thanks are conveyed to them, we have a committee meeting wednesday night, which will a debrief as well.

From my point of view I had a great weekend out on circuit by the banked hairpin on Sat and on start line / pits Sunday and assisiting with the Torrey Canyon oil slick as well,

Richard, I noticed a couple of 'official photographers' out and about on Sunday. Any idea where I can view their work?

Hi Steve

The only one I spoke to was Rachel Bourne on Sunday, she has her own web site which I'm sure you can find, I know she was taking startline shots of the top 12 run off and others as she has already said I "star" in a couple

I'll ask on Wednesday who else signed on as media and PM you there details

Cheers
