Didnt they give a Wal-built car away as a lucky door prize in New Zealand?

"In conjunction with our commitment we have re-branded two cars and agreed to a sponsorship arrangement with Sherrin Rentals, however we will be expanding the Howard Racing operations to include additional cars for the Fujitsu 2009 series at a later date."

Anyone know when the 2008 Fujitsu Series Calendar is expected ??

OT
I will be fair and say the eqipment McConville and Jones had at their disposal last year doesn't quite match up to this years Bazil, however the gist of your argument stands up to scrutiny.

Just imagine if he had travelled North what may have been.

Interesting to learn that there was a signing at a ride day yesterday, with Mr Russell choosing to drive for another team rather than continue with his older Commodore... the team is allegedly based in a similar region of NSW to his own squad....

... and if the price is accurate, I could sell my Magna and go race there..!

Presuming anything actually happened of course!

Tasman, or more accurately Greg Murphy Racing, has been offering VE's in the development series for 2009 for some time, in the ads in AA... they have one car available.. but as with Mr Bergmuller's 2008 VZ, anything can be built out of anything.

PWR's 2x VE's will likely be on the market at season's end if their 2008 car licence is absorbed by the WP machine for Mr Skaife...

Mr Perkins has one VE spare, with the likelihood of more as new cars are put together for next season.

PMM currently has one spare VE, with other new ones coming on stream, meaning there could be an opportunity to use of these cars.

So there does not appear to be a scarcity of cars... just a mismatch between the prices I would think...
WP knocked out seven last year with only one spare. This year I believe GT and PD got brand new ones. Rick did get one in Darwin but I believe that was 06 that they had last year. So I am presumming they only still had two spares by last week. I could be wrong.

With BJR looking to sell there is two more available and maybe RNR up-grading there is another one. So that could be five WP VE chassis in the 09 series.

I would be buying one of these but no doubt that little scott would be asking an un-fair price for them.

WOW! Talk about an optimistic list.

Where to start...

Mr Slade is not likely to upgrade to a VE unless he can sell his VZ... the team doesnt have enormous backing, so it would be an enormous stretch.. unless a new patron appears

The chat in the paddock at Oran Park suggested that Mr Assaillit may return to the series next season, but without Fujitsu backing. Likely to appear in DQH colours instead. #28 and #30 (if they are the numbers) should be FPR chassis, while #29 would be the ex-Thexton beast

Mr Howard's equipe is likely to return to 3 cars however a chassis source has not been confirmed for the new car.

#31 would likely be entered in the name of v8race.com considering its their ex-WPS car Mr Youlden had his bum in this year...

#44 & #46 are for sale... at very keen prices (i.e. below the paper prices allegedly) so there is no guarantee GMR will run at all next year.

#42 & #43 are interesting.. that Mr Price went better in the one round at Oran Park than the previous pilot had done all year may push the team owner father to make good on his alleged plans to sell it all off

The seat in #60 has allegedly been sold to Mr Russell, contingent allegedly on the sale of his VZ Commodore. While #61 would be nice, it is allegedly not likely at this stage

Not sure #68 & #69 will come true if TKR takes delivery of one chassis, and another development series customer takes the other

Is #45 even coming back next year?

#85 has been for sale for a long time, and the owner seems determined to sell the car ASAP

#70 and #71 were mooted in the motorsport press some time ago but there hasnt been a peep since. The story went that the cars would be ex-GRM VE's... of which there are 2 sitting in the shed unused, but there has been zero noise around their sale

Is #73 coming back next year? I think the driver, and the driver's father are frustrated with the series and the results given the effort expended

The driver of the indicated #64 has his VZ for sale and not likely to return to the series. Indicated pilot of #64 would be Mr Corkery, but there has been no noise anywhere that the driver has the funding required to take the seat

#98 may not return... there was no sponsor on the car this season, and it would be difficult to imagine that Mr Tebb's largesse would extend to a second unpaid season... #95 is for sale isnt it?

#99 was advertised in the motorsport press looking for a pilot. I would imagine Mr Percat would be the favoured one for that seat...

#62 is for sale... Mr Loadsman's business is being rearranged...

Also, I dare say that the Ford BA Falcon has been banned from the 2009 Fujitsu series as it has an areodynamical advantage over the VE Commodore and it's brother the BF Falcon.

What about Perkins Engineering? Are they selling any of their VE's? I saw for a while that Jack has got his VZ Commie up for sale.

Heard a rumor that 2006 F3 gold star winner Ben Clucas is looking to make a return downunder in the 2009 Fujitsu Development Series. Think there are a few people waiting to see how he will go, after his domination in F3. Lets hope he gets a proper go at it!
